TW: DRUG USAGE, OVERDOSE.

Born March 24th, 2000 to Christopher and Camille Lewis, Gwendolyn Amelia Lewis was the second and youngest child the couple would have. From the very beginning the girl was spoiled by her parents and it set a precedent for how she'd come to view the world. The girl would grow up with the idea that she had to be perfect and represent the family in a good light. When Gwen began developing feelings for other girls and expressed this development to her parents, she was urged to hide it. She was told to repress these feelings, and to never bring it up again. From then on, she was under immense pressure to hide who she was from family and the world. The only person in Gwen's life who accepted her for who she was her grandmother, Mary. The two of them have been close since the day Gwen was born.In September of 2009, when Gwen was nine years old, she'd lose her grandmother due to health complications. She'd leave her house in Spring Lake, New Jersey to Gwen in the will. This would crush the girl, she felt like she had no one left in the world. Her home life felt worse than ever, and she longed for a way out. That came when the idea arose to run away with her best friend Hannah. The two preteens came up with a plan to leave, deciding they would hide out in the home left to Gwen by her grandmother. Gwen would feel a sense of guilt about leaving and decide to keep in touch with her family. Albeit, she was enjoying the newfound freedom that living away from them would offer. She continued to attend school, to pursue an education and extracurricular activities.

Upon reaching her sophomore year of high school she would join the cheerleading team, gaining some friends who would later introduce her to drugs. On May 10th, 2016 she'd debut at her debutante ball, only to please her family. It was the last thing she'd ever do to make them happy. She began to rebel against the image her family created for her and attempt to fin herself in any way possible. This would begin the era of her lying about her age to begin engaging in sexual relationships with older men, often times to gain money from them. When this no longer kept her occupied, she tried to find herself in another way. On April 19th, 2017, Gwen would begin dabbling in drug usage. She'd start small, but eventually work her way up to using oxycodone. This would become her drug of choice as she became addicted to the substance. Her grades began slipping ever so slightly, but the girl would manage to make it through school and graduate on May 6th, 2018. With no plans for college, the young woman spent her days lounging around the home and falling further into addiction. Gwen would hit her rock bottom on November 15th, 2019 when she overdosed and was rushed to the hospital. From here, she'd enter a rehab facility where she'd stay for three months.

She'd return home on February 15th, 2020. Unfortunately, she'd relapse on April 27th, 2020 and struggle to become sober. But, by attending Narcotics Anonymous meetings, the support of those around her and undeniably hard work, she'd begin sobriety on July 15th, 2020. Now, she still isn't sure who she is and is left searching for a sense of self . She attends NA meetings regularly, keeping up with her sobriety as she attempts to figure out her place in this world.

Born October 5th, 1994 to Iman and Hazim Aden, Suhad Ameera Aden was the only child the pair would ever have. She was an honest and kind child from the very beginning, always seeking opportunities to do what was right and to help others. She grew up loving her faith, finding all the answers to her questions in Islam. On January 11th, 2006 she began wearing hijab for the first time. To show her devotion to Allah and to her faith in such a way just felt right, and she was headstrong in her decision to wear it. She has never looked back since, staying firm in her decision against all odds. Upon entering high school Suhad developed an interest within law and knew that’s where her future would take her. She began planning and saving, with some help from her parents, to end up at the school of her dreams: Rutgers University. It was far from home, on the other side of the country, but the Adens knew their baby girl could succeed. On May 2nd, 2012 she graduated from high school with honors.

She packed her bags and went on her way on May 12th, 2012. The girl moved into a small apartment in Newark, NJ with a roommate and began preparing for her upcoming classes at the school of her dreams. Adjusting to life in a new city was going smoothly, finding a job and getting to know her new roommate. All in all things were relatively normal. That is, until, one fateful July day when Suhad met Hannah in a coffee shop. This child all alone was kind to her, striking up a conversation and offering to pay for her coffee. She learned of Hannah's story, how life was going for the child before her and felt compassion for what she was going through. Moved by her story, Suhad decided she wanted to help out and act as a guardian for Hannah and Gwen. She packed up her stuff and moved out of the apartment, moving into the home the two children occupied on July 19th, 2012. On top of raising two twelve year olds, and working, classes began August 3rd, 2012 and she was left to juggle all three responsibilities at once. It wasn't easy but she persevered. The three grew comfortable with each other, Hannah latching onto Suhad almost instantly. And so things remained, just the three of them, until October 3rd, 2012 when Hannah would bring home another member to their little group. It's then that Suhad met Estelle, a woman two years older than she was with her life seemingly less put together. The two got along immediately, working together to keep the children they now lived with in line. As the years went by, the four became like a little family. They spent holidays together, helped each other financially and through their own schooling. But the house began to feel a little empty, prompting Hannah to one day bring home a dog and a few months later, Suhad brought home a cat, a Turkish angora she named Blizzard.

Now the house truly felt like a home, full of life of all sorts. Suhad began taking on more of a mother role, cooking, cleaning and tending to the problems Hannah ans Gwen had. She felt comfortable in this position, more so than she thought she ever would. She took to baking and knitting as well, finding them to be gun pastimes when her busy schedule allowed for it. On May 4th, 2016 Suhad would graduate with her undergraduate bachelor's degree and move on to law school later in August. She had a goal in mind, to become a criminal defense attorney, and she intended to achieve it. With lots of hard work and support from her loved ones she managed to achieve her goal and graduate in May of 2019. Since then she's been working at a local law firm, while maintaining the home in her time off. She's still the mother of the group, although the kids have grown and become adults. She can be found knitting or reading most days, enjoying the simple pleasures life has to offer.

Born November 12th, 1992 to Aaliyah and Matthew Williams, Estelle Renée Williams would be the eighth child the pair had together. Estelle was a special case from the very beginning, having been the only surviving twin of Aaliyah's third pregnancy. She was always a very energetic child, loving to dance from the moment she learned how to move. This passion for dancing only continued as she got older. Her parents signed her up for dance classes, she participated in talent shows and even performed for her family at reunions. Ballet was her favorite of all the types of dance she learned, going on to pursue it further the older she got. She danced all through high school, deciding her dream was to do ballet professionally. Her plan was to move to New York, and to one day join the New York City Ballet. And on May 8th, 2010 she would graduate high school with the plan in mind. She had been saving for a while, putting money from each paycheck away. About a year later, she'd end up moving and find herself in Howell Township, New Jersey. With all this excitement of a new life ahead of her, Estelle began documenting her life online. She focused on dance and body positivity, promoting her life as a plus size dancer.Unfortunately, Estelle would never achieve her dream but her goals in life began to shift. Her page was gaining popularity, her message of dancing at any size spreading for better or for worse. Her focus went into maintaining the page and her job. On November 12th, 2011 she welcomed a Keeshond into her life, naming the dog Oscar. The two would become a pair, the dog now popping up in her Instagram and Twitter posts regularly. On April 14th, 2012, Estelle would meet Hannah by happenstance. Hannah had already been a fan of Estelle’s message and posts, and immediately told the woman her entire life story. They swapped information and kept in touch. They got so close in fact that Estelle would pack up her things and move in with Hannah, Gwen and Suhad on October 3rd, 2012. The four became like a little family the more time they ended up spending together.

Around December of 2012, Hannah introduced Estelle to her friend Maddox Reid. Hannah would try time and time again to pair them up, this lasting for about two months before Estelle finally agreed. On February 24th, 2013, Maddox and Estelle would go on their first date. Just as Hannah predicted, the two hit it off and continued seeing each other. They would keep this relationship a secret for a week or so before announcing it to everyone. They made things official on March 16th, 2013. As their relationship continued, they saw it fit to move in together and eventually settled on a home in West Orange, NJ. Estelle packed her things once more and on September 15th, 2013, Maddox and Estelle moved into their very first home together. The couple would visit the old house from time to time, continuing to act as a family with Hannah, Suhad and Gwen. Everything was perfect, idyllic even, and things were only set to get better. In 2014, Maddox would propose and Estelle immediately said yes, without a doubt in her mind. Come August 18th of 2015, they would be married. The wedding was a big event, ceremony and reception bringing family from all over. They’d expand their little family by adopting a Samoyed to join Oscar, naming this new dog Olivia. But the family continued to feel small and come 2017, the couple began desiring children of their own. It seemed easy enough to have a baby, it wasn’t some grueling and taxing endeavor. Or so they thought. In January of 2017 they would begin trying for a baby, quickly learning that it wasn’t as easy as originally thought. It would come to light that Estelle had fertility issues. The next thing to do was to begin treatments, hoping they would help. The couple would document this journey of treatments and remedies, trying their hardest to conceive. It was an emotionally and mentally taxing process, struggling through the entire thing. There were times where Estelle wanted to give up, throw in the towel and accept the reality that she may never have children. And then… they got lucky! Come March they were able to conceive, and later ultrasounds would reveal they were having twins. A boy and a girl, one of each. They felt so lucky, so blessed to have been given the opportunity to be parents. After a long nine months the time finally came, on December 23rd at 11:03 AM Estelle would go into labor. This labor would last for thirty-six hours until finally the twins were born.

For a few days, things seemed well but it quickly became apparent that Estelle wasn't doing well. After doing some research and talking to a psychologist, it came to light that she was suffering from postpartum depression. This depression carried on for a few months, everyone pitching in to help out with the new babies and caring for Estelle as she went through this time. Within time, she would get better and return to normal, more or less. The family now lives happily together in West Orange, still making the trek out to Spring Lake to see their "family" whenever possible.
